Hi.  My name is Rhonda Howdyshell and I am the inventor of CrownClips.  As a multi-national titleholder, and a certified pageant judge, I have enjoyed making appearances across the nation and judging pageants.   My favorites appearances are of course with children's charities and groups... and Oh! how they love to try on the crown.  It was at such an event that my title crown slipped off and broke!   I was ok, but the little girl was so upset.  It occurred to me that their should be a quick way to secure a crown on top of any head!

How often have I seen crowning moments and wedding memories ruined by a wayward tiara?  A few years ago, I came up with the solution to my problem -- Crown Clips, applied for a patent and began manufacture.  I was thrilled to attend, volunteer and help the Miss America system with a custom installed CrownClip... that was used to crown Katie our 2009 Miss America!! 

I chose to have this product produced in the USA.  I have met with several sheltered workshops that provide employment to the handicapped to find the right manufacturer for bulk orders.  As a child of a Marine Corps father, who served our country proudly in 3 wars, but had to spend the last 10 years of his life a quadriplegic, I learned that the measure of a person was not found in their physical capability.  As an advocate for human rights, I have served as Chair of our Local Human Rights Committee for the mentally ill.  Many people with similar life challenges work for these sheltered workshop organizations, allowing them to gain some measure of independence.
